You’ll work closely with engineers and designers to explore form factors, test components, and contribute to the development of real-world assistive technology. If you’re a hands-on problem solver with a passion for hardware and health tech, this is a chance to make a meaningful impact.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in prototyping, testing, and iterating physical devices
- Research and recommend sensors, microcontrollers, and connectivity options
- Collaborate with software and product teams on integrated features
- Participate in user testing and feedback loops
- Help document designs and development progress
- Contribute to electrical design, breadboarding, and basic PCB work (if applicable)
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (college or university) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Hardware Design, or a related field
- Familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g. Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32)
- Hands-on experience with breadboarding, wiring, and testing sensors or components
- Basic understanding of hardware-software integration
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Must be based in the Toronto / GTA area and able to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as needed
Bonus Points (Not Required)
- Experience with PCB design software (e.g. KiCad, Eagle, Altium)
- CAD modeling or 3D printing knowledge
- Interest in accessibility, healthcare tech, or aging-focused design
What We Offer
- Hands-on experience shaping a real-world product
- A collaborative, open team that values your contributions
- The potential for financial incentives and full-time employment based on performance and fit
- Flexibility in schedule and working style
- A chance to build tech that truly helps people
