About Us

Medilinx Biotech is on a mission to build compassionate technology that supports caregivers and empowers aging adults to live independently, safely, and with dignity. We’re a growing team building practical, human-first tools that make care simpler—not colder.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Product Design Intern to help shape the physical and digital touchpoints of our technology. You’ll work closely with UX designers, hardware engineers, and product leads to bring thoughtful, user-friendly, and beautiful solutions to life. From low-fi sketches to refined mockups and prototypes, you’ll contribute to real-world products that balance function and empathy.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the design of physical products, interfaces, and packaging concepts
  • Help develop design specifications, visual documentation, and iteration plans
  • Translate user needs into clear, usable, and attractive design concepts
  • Contribute to testing, validation, and refinement of both digital and physical elements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, and leadership teams

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related discipline
  • Creative thinker with solid visual and interaction design skills
  • Proficient in design tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, CAD tools)
  • Ability to present ideas visually and verbally
  • Must be based in the Toronto / GTA area and able to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as needed

Bonus Points (Not Required)

  • Familiarity with prototyping tools or 3D modeling
  • Experience designing for older adults or accessibility needs
  • Background in service design, healthcare, or human-centered design

What We Offer

  • A chance to work on meaningful, human-focused products
  • A small, passionate team that values your voice
  • Mentorship, collaboration, and visible impact
  • The potential for financial incentives and full-time employment based on performance and fit
  • Flexible working conditions

How to Apply

Send your résumé and portfolio (or a few sample projects) to [your email or careers page link]. Tell us why human-centered design matters to you.

*Please Note: Instead of submitting a formal cover letter, just tell us a bit about yourself and why you’re interested in this position. We care more about your curiosity and motivation than polished language.
